The founder of UBC Nexus, Durga Prasad Sahu, comes from humble beginnings shaped by resilience, relationships, learning, and purpose. His journey is not just about business success, but about transforming struggles into wisdom and opportunities for growth.
UBC Nexus was built on a powerful belief: human potential is equal everywhere, but opportunities are not. After witnessing many talented individuals struggle due to lack of exposure, guidance, and networks, he envisioned a platform where entrepreneurs, professionals, creators, and dreamers could grow together regardless of background
Today, UBC Nexus is evolving as a collaborative ecosystem focused on leadership, visibility, networking, and meaningful growth.
The values behind UBC Nexus were shaped early in life. Durga Prasad Sahu was deeply inspired by his father, whom he considers the true hero of his life. His father’s commitment to helping people and serving society instilled values of kindness, responsibility, relationships, and service from childhood itself.
Another strong influence has been his closest friend, Sandeep Kumar, whose grounded leadership, practical thinking, and emotional support played an important role in shaping his mindset and leadership journey.
Together, these influences became the emotional and visionary foundation of UBC Nexus.
After completing his MBA, Durga Prasad Sahu began his corporate journey with reputed organizations including ICICI Bank, Shriram Group, Fortune Group, and Axis Bank.
Over the years, he held several leadership roles such as Management Trainee, Regional Head, and State Head, gaining valuable experience in leadership, sales, networking, business systems, and organizational management.
During the COVID period, he faced a major financial setback of nearly 40 lakhs — a life-changing emotional and personal challenge.
That difficult phase taught him the importance of systems, relationships, resilience, and continuous learning. Instead of giving up, he rebuilt himself through books, creativity, self-development, and vision.
The pain of failure eventually transformed into purpose — and that purpose became the foundation of UBC Nexus, an ecosystem created to build opportunities, collaboration, leadership, and meaningful growth for others.
UBC Nexus is not a business. It is a movement built on the belief that human potential is distributed equally across the world, but opportunity is not. UBC Nexus is the bridge.
